The Hunter Institute of Mental Health (HIMH) together with its partners at the NSW Centre for Eating and Dieting Disorders and the Butterfly Foundation is conducting community focus group consultations to help inform the development of two resources on eating disorders to support people in NSW experiencing an eating disorder; and families, friends and carers of someone with an eating disorder.

HIMH is looking to find out about people’s experiences of the information available and what they found helpful in their experience with an eating disorder or caring for someone with an eating disorder.

To participate in the community focus group consultations people need to:
• Not currently be undertaking treatment associated with any form of eating disorder
• Have previously experienced an eating disorder or supported someone with an eating disorder
• Be 18 years of age or older
• Not have been hospitalised for an eating disorder in the past 12 months
