Join Collective Purpose during Mental Health Month as they discuss the intersection of cultural diversity and mental health.

The session will cover how diversity in cultures and backgrounds affect mental health-related experiences and in turn how cultural diversity plays an important role in the recovery of someone experiencing mental ill health. This session will also discuss what mental health service providers need to consider when they work with people from a diverse range of cultures and who also have a lived experience of mental ill health.

Their speaker is Maria Cassaniti, the manager of Transcultural Mental Health Centre. Her key area of interest is in the development of mental health services that promote access and equity of service provision, and respond to the needs of culturally diverse populations.
