23-24 Oct 2018, 5pm-3pm

Penrith City Council, 601 High Street, Penrith 2750

The 2018 Mental Health and Wellbeing in CALD Communities symposium will be held on Wednesday 24 October, hosted by Penrith Council and the NSW Local Government Multicultural Network, in partnership with the State Library of NSW and Local Government NSW.

Multicultural and mental health workers in Local Government, government and non-government health services, funding bodies, community organisations, and community leaders and advocates throughout NSW are all invited to attend to:

  • share insights
  • discuss best practice
  • increase understanding of cultural nuances around mental health
  • enhance partnerships and support networks, especially between metropolitan and regional areas, and across different agencies and organisations

The key focus of this year’s event is breaking down the barriers CALD communities face accessing equitable and culturally responsive mental health and wellbeing support.
