In 2014 Youth Week in NSW is partnering with the NSW Mental Health Commission to explore the challenges that young people face in supporting the mental health and wellbeing of friends and family. The NSW Youth Advisory Council and the NSW Mental Health Commission will be co-hosting the Minding Our Mental Health forum at NSW Parliament House on Tuesday 1 April 2014 for the NSW Launch of Youth Week.

The forum is an opportunity for young people to get together with a range of policy makers and service providers in mental health, and to participate in activities, discussions and workshops to build knowledge, skills and confidence to support the mental health and wellbeing of their family and friends and share with their community.

The Hon Kevin Humphries MP, Minister for Mental Health, the Hon Victor Dominello MP, Minister for Citizenship and Communities (the Minister responsible for youth affairs) and John Feneley, the NSW Mental Health Commissioner will be attending.

For those attending the Forum travel costs and arrangements will be arranged for those who live outside the greater Sydney metropolitan area.
